Elementary Lion by DzaDze Elementary Lion by DzaDze
Elementary Lion - Theme for Gnome-Shell

Inspired by Dan Rabbit's Elementary Luna and some Mac OS X Lion elements.

Including:
- Minimalistic look
- New switch ON/OF buttons
- OS X Lion Overview/Workspaces look
- Elementary menu selection
& some more new good looking elements.

Extra: GTK Theme [link]

Installation:
Extract the downloaded folder into /usr/share/themes/

If you have any suggestion, please write them down... just to make the theme more beautiful.

Fake!
No index.theme in zip file (elementary-lion and gtk theme). A real theme contains an index (index.theme) file.

How do you install the GTK+ theme? it didn't work for me.
And the theme won't show for me even when I apply it in gnome-tweak tool on 12.10, is it compatible?

I installed it on Ubuntu but it seems not to work!
Do I need to install something previously? (Beside gnome shell, of course)

You need to install Advanced Settings.. and gnome-shell-theme-extension.. after you install these, you can select the theme from Advanced Settings

I don't like MAC-ish themes... but yours looks great :)

I won' use it, but I know people who like MAC themes and these look way better than what they use.

Got it working. If you put it to /usr/share/themes, you need to change permisions for your user/group. (with gksu nautilus)

nice theme, but there are two serious bugs in it:

1) if you have a dual screen setup, the grey background is only drawn on the first screen, because it has a fixed size, it doesn't scale correctly. Maybe you can just use a very small tile and repeat it both horizontally and vertically. This is possible in CSS with background-repeat:repeat.

2) the overlay that is displayed when switching workspaces with ctrl-alt-down/up is buggy. It doesn't show the workspace number nor anything else, just some white rectangles.

Another minor annoyance is the authenication dialog, it just looks ugly ...
Btw, is there a way to use the ubuntu/unity authentication dialogs? The look "more" GTK and better fit into the rest of the interface.

Thanks for posting the GTK version of this wonderful theme.
Just one question... Do you think it'll work with GNOME classic session?

nice theme. Could you just make the max height of the dash a bit greater (like close to the lower bar)? Otherwise it will downsize quickly with (iirc) 10 applicationis on it in an incredibly ugly way.
